Our Story
Japhia Burrell, RN, MSN, LMT is the owner of Bella Terra Spa. She started out her career in health and wellness as a Registered Nurse. Over the years she has worked in oncology, cardiac stepdown, labor and delivery, lactation, and mental health. She also has experience as a doula and midwife's assistant. However, her desire to provide holistic care to her patients led her to pursue certification as a massage therapist, where she has found her true calling. Japhia opened Bella Terra because she wanted to create a beautiful space where clients could receive therapeutic and multi-faceted bodywork, and also to cultivate a community that celebrates green beauty, women's wellness, and holistic health. Japhia currently specializes as Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist, offers massage at Bella Terra, works part-time as an RN, and owns and operates Main Street Wedding and Event Venue.

After all, Bella Terra means "beautiful earth," and because we pride ourselves on showcasing the bounty of nature in our products and services, we also recognize our responsibility to protect those resources.
