Are both men and women welcome?
Our services are available for both men and women. Anyone may book services at Bella Terra, no matter what your sex, gender, or how you identify.
May I book a service for my child/teen?
Absolutely, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. We need an adult to sign their intake form and give consent for treatment. They may receive any treatment on the menu (massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, etc.) with the exception of hot stones. We recommend that children under the age of 10 only receive a 30 minute massage rather than a 60 minute; it’s sometimes hard for them to be still for that long.
Where are you located?
We are located at 3101 N. Green River Rd., Suite 130, Evansville, IN, 47715. We are just south of Lynch Rd., in The Parke office complex. You enter the parking lot where the big clock tower is, and our building is directly to the right as you come in, parallel to Green River Rd.
Is there parking?
Yes, we have parking right out front.
Is your space accessible?
Yes. There are no stairs, and we have wide halls and doorways.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes! You can purchase eGift Cards online, or you can visit the spa if you prefer a paper certificate. Expiry is typically dated for one year from the date of sale.
Do I have to take my clothes off for a massage?
Typically, yes, clients undress down to their underwear, with your bra off for women, so your therapist can massage your back. Sometimes it is better to be completely undressed so your therapist can access your hip area. However, you are always draped with a sheet and blanket; only the part that your therapist is working on will be exposed at any one time. Your privacy is always maintained. Your comfort is a top priority, and your therapist will accommodate you with positioning and draping so you always feel safe and secure.
Which parts of my body will be massaged?
A full body massage can include the head, neck, shoulders, back, hips, posterior and anterior legs, feet, arms, and hands.
Is massage supposed to be painful?
Some people think that “no pain means no gain,” but massage doesn’t need to hurt to be effective. In fact, it can be counterproductive; it will cause your muscle to reflexively tense in an attempt to prevent injury. Sometimes massage can be slightly uncomfortable when muscle tissue is sensitive, but if you have ever have pain during a massage session, please say something to your therapist. We never want to hurt you. We will gladly stop or modify our treatment to suit your comfort.
How is prenatal massage different?
Well, it’s not really, not until you start to show. We do perform massage in the first trimester, and unless the mother is uncomfortable, there is no accommodation needed. We have a couple of options for the second and third trimesters. We have a prone positioning system, where the mother can lie face down and is supported under her entire upper body and hips. There is gentle support and cushioning for her growing belly. We also have a side-lying positioning system where the mother is supported under her head, chest and leg on her side. We can use whichever support the mother prefers and finds more comfortable. Other than positioning, prenatal massage is a regular full body massage that focuses on typical problem areas associated with pregnancy and takes into account any possible complications, such as edema, carpal tunnel pain, and low back pain. Japhia is a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist and loves to massage moms-to-be!
Do you have couples massage?
We do! We have a couples room where we can perform your massages together. We can also provide treatments at the same time in separate rooms. However, in either case, we don’t have an easy way to book these appointments online, so please give us a call at 812-598-2835 to book services for two or more people at the same time.
Are you available for chair massage?

When should I arrive for my appointment?
We recommend that you arrive 10-15 minutes early. We have a short intake form for you to complete before your session, and we want to ensure that you understand your treatment plan, and that you have given informed consent. This also gives you time to use the restroom if needed, undress, and get on the table so that you can receive the full time scheduled for your appointment. We always give the full 60 or 90 minutes, not 55 or 85 minutes, provided that you arrive a bit before your appointment time.
I’m sick, should I keep my appointment?
If you get sick, please give us a call at 812-598-2835 so we can reschedule your appointment. For our sake and yours, and for those that may have treatments scheduled after you. Your treatment will be safer and more enjoyable once you feel better. If you develop a skin condition, please clear it with your doctor before receiving massage. Please note that our cancellation policy states that no shows and appointments that are cancelled within one hour of the appointment time will be charged for the full amount of the appointment. Future appointments cannot be scheduled until your invoice is paid.

This form must be updated any time there are significant changes to your health history (surgery, major illness, etc.). The information in your file can only be released with your consent or as required by law. In order to best serve you, I may ask your permission to discuss your case with other healthcare practitioners. Your information will never otherwise be shared or sold for any purpose.
Can you accommodate parties?
We do take parties! We love to have groups for birthdays, weddings, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, etc. Each party member can create their own spa package with any combination of the services on our menu, including massage, manicures/pedicures, waxing, and facials. We can set up a table upon request and you may bring your own drinks and snacks. The services may be charged to each individual, or as a group, whichever is your preference.
